South Prong Clarke Creek Greenway
South Prong Clarke Creek Greenway
South Prong Clarke Creek Greenway will be approximately 1.25 miles in length extending from Huntersville-Concord Highway to Ferrelltown Parkway. Two alternatives beyond Ferrelltown Parkway to Monocacy Boulevard are being explored by Park and Recreation.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services will be facilitating restoration efforts on this reach of South Prong Clarke Creek. This project aims to stabilize elements of the creek as well as reduce the amount of sediment pollution impacting the creek. Sediment is the number one pollutant found in Mecklenburg County's waterways. More information on that project can be found at https://stormwaterservices.mecknc.gov/projects/active-projects/south-prong-clarke-creek.

South Prong Clarke Creek Greenway and Stream Restoration Meeting
This meeting is to provide the public information on both the greenway and stream restoration project along South Prong Clarke Creek from Huntersville-Concord Road to Monocacy Boulevard.
Below is the proposed route for the greenway trail along South Prong Clarke Creek. This project will construct the trail from Huntersville-Concord Road to Ferrelltown Parkway, where there will be a greenway trailhead parking lot. There are two alternatives from Ferrelltown Parkway to Monocacy Boulevard. At this time, we are uncertain which alternative will be selected. A downloadable PDF version is at the bottom of the page.
