Revaluation is a process required by North Carolina law where all property (land and buildings within Mecklenburg County) is revalued to its current market value as of Jan. 1. To meet expectations in a fast growing region, Mecklenburg County's Office of Tax Administration conducts a revaluation every four years.  Without periodic revaluation, some property owners would pay more than their share of property tax while others would pay less than their share. Stalking is a prevalent, traumatic, dangerous and often misunderstood crime. Join us as we work to strengthen the community response and improve outcomes for survivors of stalking. A two-hour virtual training session will be offered on June 26, 2026 and an all-day seminar will take place on October 27, 2026, at the Valerie C. Woodard Conference Center (3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC).

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services will restore 5,875 Linear Feet of the Mallard Creek corridor from Mallard Creek Road to David Taylor Drive. The project will include stream restoration that would improve water quality and habitat and stabilize the stream banks for ecological and water quality uplift. There will be additional projects following the restoration managed by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and Charlotte Water. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is planning to enhance the existing greenway trail between David Taylor Drive and Mallard Creek Road. The project will include paving of gravel trail, new connections, a trailhead parking lot and restrooms. The current schedule for the project is sometime after 2030 and is dependent on Charlotte Water’s construction schedule for the sewer main replacement in this area.   The Mallard Interceptor Project is a major wastewater improvement project designed to increase sewer capacity, reduce the amount of rainwater and groundwater entering the sewer system, and help prevent sewer overflows as the area continues to grow. Construction is currently expected to begin in Fall 2029 and be completed in Spring 2031.   The project will install approximately 3 miles of new 60-inch sewer pipe, beginning near the intersection of Toby Creek and North Tryon Street and continuing along Mallard Creek ending at Mallard Creek Road. The larger sewer line will provide additional capacity for future growth and improve the reliability of the wastewater system.
